Barbara Jean Bly Obituary
(Age 66)
Barbara Jean Bly was born December 11, 1951 in Wenatchee, WA. She spent the majority of her life in Spokane, WA and the last 16 years in Newman Lake, WA. Barbara left us unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. Barbara was born Barbara Jean McClenahan to Richard A. and Lotus L. McClenahan, the second of four children.
She attended John R. Rogers High School where she met the love of her life, Robert J. Bly. She asked him to the Sadie Hawkins dance when she was 15 years old and their love story was written. Although her journey has ended, she and Rob set an example for their children of what love is, which will be modeled for generations to come.
Barbara worked as a secretary in various capacities at The Independent Order of Foresters, Agilent Technologies and finally retiring from Lincare in 2017. Her infectious personality touched so many lives. She was spunky, funny, loving, witty and kind. She loved family more than anything, always attending her grandchildren?s sporting events, etc. She was the centerpiece for holidays and celebrations, always showing her love by feeding all who attended. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting, but most of all she loved her husband, children and grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert J. Bly; son, Thomas A. (Angie) Bly; daughter, Amy (Jason) Jerome; grandchildren, Ashlei (Ian) Jerome, Brady Jerome, twins Ethan and Jaycee Jerome; and sisters, Debbie Logsdon and Lynn Hendrickson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard McClenahan.
A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 31st at 11:00am. A reception is to follow at the home of Rob and Barb in Newman Lake, WA.
