Barbara Lyn (Jeffries) McAllister Obituary Barbara passed away peacefully at her home in Folsom, California on December 30, 2015. She was born to Robert and Corrine (Tena) Jeffries in Spokane, WA where she attended Mead High School. She always enjoyed cooking and became a professional chef in California and she was well known in the San Francisco and Santa Rosa area. Barbara was honored to have worked with Julia Child. Barbara married Jay McAllister in Hawaii and they have one daughter, Megan. Barbara enjoyed life and visited India and climbed with the Sherpas, and also lived for a time in Hawaii. Barbara always had a smile on her face and had a way of making you laugh. She always brought joy to those around her, she will be greatly missed. Barbara leaves behind her daughter Megan; her sister Julie Walker; four brothers: Daniel, David (Kim), Steven (Sherry Butler) and Michael (Karolyn); ex-sister-in-law Vicki Jeffries and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:30PM at the Fairmount Memorial Park Sunset Chapel, 5200 W. Wellesley in Spokane, WA 99205.
