Barbara Mae Nooney Obituary (Age 74) Barbara Mae Nooney passed away September 26, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born April 12, 1943 in Vancouver, WA to Leonard and Dorthea Halverson. Barbara attended Walla Walla High School and Kinman Business School. Barbara married Jay Nooney on February 15, 1964 and they lived in Kirkland and Tacoma before moving to Spokane in 1972. She raised her kids and then started working for SNAP during the winter when they were in school. She changed to full time until shortly before her death. Barbara is survived by her husband, Jay; son, Michael (Narinder); daughter, Jill (Todd); grandsons, Jason, Nathaniel and Jay; and sister, Kay (Jim) Lamphiear. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard and sister, Anne. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1pm at Heritage Funeral Home.
