Benjamin R. Sonnenberg Obituary (Age 26) Benjamin Rankin Sonnenberg was born on July 20, 1986 in Spokane, WA to Dean and Diane Sonnenberg. He passed away on September 16, 2012. A graduate of Ferris High School and the University of Montana College of Technology, Ben enjoyed living in the Northwest. His interests were as varied as the many magazines he read. From hunting and fishing to welding, cars, fine cigars, and boutique spirits, Ben took pleasure in craft and newness. A lover of children and animals alike, Ben made sure the family dogs Gus, Inca, Auz and the late vagabond Shorty never lacked for play dates, pets, ball throwing and treats. Ben is survived by his parents Dean and Diane Sonnenberg; his sister Marci Sonnenberg and her fianc� Keane Sweet; his maternal grandfather Dr. Clifford Rankin and his wife Carol Rankin; his aunt and uncle Clyde and Lucy Sonnenberg; and his cousin Kimberly Englehart, all of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by his fraternal grandparents Elsie and Elmer Sonnenberg and his aunt Marcy Blackmore, of Ephrata, WA; his uncle Peter Rankin, of Missoula, MT; his aunt and uncle Barbara and Steve Shaub and his cousins Kiel, Rane and McCall Shaub, of Tacoma, WA. Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Helen Rankin and by his maternal great uncle George Watson. A private Memorial Service for family was held at Riverside Memorial Park on Friday, September 21, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made in Ben's name to any of the local animal shelters or a charity of your choice .
