Betty J. Reid Obituary (Age 81) Betty left us on September 4th to be with her Lord Jesus, her husband Hal, her mother and father, and her siblings who preceded her in death. Betty, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was born in Sapulpa, OK on March 22, 1932. As the wife of a career military man, Betty traveled and lived in many areas of the United States and Asia. She and her family finally settled down in Medical Lake in 1967 upon Hal?s retirement from the U.S. Air Force. Betty worked for the State of Washington for 30 years, retiring as an attendant counselor manager in 1997. She loved her work greatly, and she was loved by her patients, as well as those who worked with her. Betty had a great sense of fashion, always desiring to look her best. Her interests included dolls, gardening, watching sports on TV, and looking out at the deer and birds in her backyard. Earlier in her life Betty enjoyed many camping trips with her family, and riding motorcycles with Hal. She loved time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved her many pets; she was never able to say no to a stray. Betty?s most treasured possession was her dachshund, ?Little Bit.? Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Hal. She is survived by her sons Gary (Patricia), Harold (Naomi), and Richard; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings Frances, Goldena and Jake. Betty?s Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 14th at 2:00 pm at Lake City Assembly of God Church, 400 E Grace St, Medical Lake, WA, to be followed by a graveside service at Greenwood Memorial Terrace at approximately 3:45 pm.
