Betty Newbigging Obituary (Age 88) On October 31st 2014, Betty Lou Newbigging, passed away peacefully at home. She was born on October 18, 1926, in Pullman, WA. She married John J Newbigging of Thornton, WA in 1946. During her life, Betty was an Army wife following Jim to Germany twice and France, they retired in Vancouver, WA in 1978. Betty also worked in the Base Exchanges as a Customer Service Clerk. Betty was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She also volunteered as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and a Camp Fire Leader and was a member of the Tum Tum Breakfast Club. Betty truly loved her family, especially her seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Betty joins her husband, eldest son Ed Newbigging and 2 brothers Bud Willey and Bob Willey that preceded her to their eternal resting place. Betty is survived by her children: daughter Pat Norvell, son Tom Newbigging and daughter Tammie Newbigging, brother Bill Willey and sister Beverly Schniffer. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Inurnment will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 W Government Way, Spokane, WA.
