Beverley E. Nicholas Obituary
Beverley E. Nicholas, long time resident of Colville, Washington, passed away April 23, 2011 in Moses Lake, Washington. Beverley was born March 1, 1927 to Lawrenson and Olive (Leigh) Catterall in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She attended school in Victoria B.C. and Seattle, WA; married Rey E Nicholas there in 1945. They moved to Colville in 1960 from Curlew, WA. She was preceded in death by husband Rey in 1976 and Grandson Tony in 1988.
Beverley was a clerk at the Colville Safeway Store for 25 years. In 1957 she became a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was active until recent years. She enjoyed several trips to the UK and several road trips with The Rambling Rovers as well as close friends Dean and Delores Lynn. Beverley was also a member of the Colville Hospital Auxiliary for a number of years. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends. When Beverley was not with her friends, her family would find her reading.
Beverley is survived by 2 sons, Bruce (Anita) Nicholas, Warden, WA and Wayne (Virginia) Nicholas, Wolfe Point, MT; five grandchildren, Rita Nicholas, Alan (Terry) Nicholas, Moses Lake, WA, William (Debbie) Nicholas, Valley WA, Keith Nicholas, Libby, MT, and Brandi Schuerman, Anchor Point, AK Beverley was blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, Jarred, Taylor, Matthew, Hannah, Mahala, Maya(William and Debbie), Luke and Lily (Alan and Terry), Alex and Allison (Rita). Beverley is survived by one brother Vinton(Sonny) Woodward (Janie) of Indianola, WA; niece Elizabeth and nephew Jeffery.
