Beverly Schierman

December 14, 1923----102 years old


Beverly (Shaw) Schierman of Spokane, WA passed away on May 22, 2026, at Riverview in Spokane, Washington.

 

Her parents, William & Emma Shaw, her brother Gordon Shaw, nephew Gregory Shaw and her husband, Clarence Schierman, Jr., preceded Beverly in death. She is survived by her grandnephew Christopher Shaw (Linda), their daughter, Lorraine (Charles), Sharon Shaw, her children Lindsey and Dusty and their two children, Kelsey and Jeff, her husband’s cousins, Robert (Roberta) Schroeder and family, and Richard (Barbara) Schroeder and family.

 

Beverly worked for Pacific Northwest Bell in several capacities and after her retirement was active in the Telephone Pioneers. Her work in the community consisted of leading the ladies’ group at Hope Lutheran Church, preparing materials for the blind in the Braille ministry at Redeemer Lutheran Church, recruiting volunteers to assist with Music Fest, Bloomsday and KXLY Coats for Kids. After she moved to Riverview, she was active in the Village Association and worked in the “little store” at the Terrace. She organized a group of ladies that knitted more than 12,340 caps that were distributed to schools and non-profit organizations throughout the city.


Beverly loved to travel making regular visits to Hawaii and enjoying numerous cruises. She will be remembered as warm and friendly to all.

 

A grave side service will be at 12:00 pm on June 15, 2026, for family at Fairmont Cemetery. A 2:00 pm memorial service will be held at the Riverview Terrace Chapel, 2801 E. Upriver Dr., Spokane, WA 99207 with a celebration of Bev’s life to follow in the Riverview recreation room.

 

Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Redeemer Preschool Scholarship fund at 3606 S. Schafer Road, Spokane, WA. 99206.
