Bill M. Bailey Obituary (Age 84) Passed away at Spokane Veterans Home on Monday, April 6, 2015. He was born in Johnson City, TN on November 24, 1930 to Garth and Polly Bailey. Bill attended Happy Valley School and was active in FFA, developing a love for farming. Bill joined the USAF in 1950 and married Mayme Elizabeth Adkins the following year. During his service, he was stationed in Lackland, TX, Fort Benning, GA, France and Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington. After his discharge, Bill began farming again in Spokane in 1957. He worked at Jackman egg farm, Stockland stock yards, Fairchild Air Force Base civil service, and Al Simchuk. He loved farming, gospel music, horseback riding, and enjoyed a great 4th of July Bicentennial Celebration. Bill was a very devoted family man and neighbor. His devotion showed as he volunteered as a 4H Leader and a Lincoln County Fair board member as well as riding with the Gentlemen on Hoseback to Omak and Missoula in 1965 and 1967. Bill is survived by two children, Bruce Bailey and Candy Gintz; brother Roy Bailey; sister Barbara Bryant; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mayme E. Bailey; parents Garth and Polly Bailey; brother Carl Bailey; and granddaughter Lyla Gintz. A time of visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 1 pm to 5 pm. A memorial service will be held at Airway Heights Baptist Church, 12322 W Sunset Hwy, Airway Heights, WA 99001 on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Bill?s name to Airway Heights Baptist Church or the World Quest Bailey Memorial, PO Box 1417, Airway Heights, WA 99001.
