Blanche Harrison Obituary (Age 95) Blanche Harrison entered into rest in Spokane, Washington on January 21, 2015. She was born April 21, 1919 in Boise, Idaho to Mary Catherine Boyd Harrison and Robert Harrison. Blanche was raised in British Columbia and the Spokane Valley where she graduated from West Valley High School in 1938. She attended Whitworth College for a short time until she was in an automobile accident. Blanche then attended Kinman Business University, graduating April 2, 1942, and was employed by the Federal Government for many years until she retired in April 1974. After retirement, she volunteered at Holy Family Hospital for 23 years as a Pink Lady. She had been active in her church, Northwood Presbyterian, since November 28, 1965. She was ordained as a Deacon on February 1, 1970 for three years. Blanche lived in the Spokane Valley for many years before moving to Spokane City. She was a member of NARF-National Associate of Retired Federal Employees. She became a member of National Geographic Society on January 1, 2008. Blanche was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Robbie Beadle and her loving nephew Rich Beadle (Ginny Beadle). She is survived by her nephew Doug Beadle (Shannon Beadle) as well as several generations of great nieces and nephews. Blanche lived a life of service to her community and family. We will miss her. Viewing will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 27th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
