Bobbie J. Marks Obituary IN FOND MEMORY Bobbie Jo Marks was born in Brownfield, Texas, but grew up in Delta, Colorado. Bobbie married Lawrence (Larry) Marks in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1963. She lived in Spokane since 1970. Bobbie and Larry raised two sons, James (Jim) Marks of Gainesville, FL, and Kenneth (Ken) Marks of Tacoma. Ken and his wife Jena gave Bobbie two grandsons, Duncan and Jesse. Prior to marriage, Bobbie worked for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission in Grand Junction, Colorado. During her sons' early lives, Bobbie was a dedicated homemaker and teacher's aid at Jefferson Elementary School. Later, she worked as secretary and administrative assistant at Bonneville Power Administration and Mutual of New York Insurance Company. After retirement in 1985, Bobbie's main passion was quilting, and she became an expert in the art. She was also an ace Scrabble player and avid cat lover. Bobbie is survived by her above mentioned husband, sons, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. No memorial service is planned at this time. Cremation will be followed by inurnment at the Washington State Veterans' Cemetery in Medical Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory at Hospice of Spokane.
