(Age 85)
Bonnie entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her home, The Touchmark, in Spokane. She was a resident of Touchmark since 2006. Bonnie was surrounded by her family and friends.
Bonnie was born and raised in Smithton, MO to Bernie and Edna Sharper on February 3, 1930. She graduated High School and became a telephone operator in Kansas City, MO. As World War II ended she met her husband Frank D. Medaglia Sr., they began a 50 plus year wonderful journey as a mother, grandmother and loving military wife, with unselfish faithful and devoted service. Her unfailing support and understanding helped to make possible her husband?s lasting contribution on the nation. Bonnie was also recognized for 10 years of faithful federal service as a comptroller.
Bonnie loved to travel the country with Frank in their RV. She loved gardening, sewing, playing softball, volleyball and enjoyed bowling, especially Wii Bowling, as a member of the ?Touchmark Strikers.? She was loved by all who knew her.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Edna Sharper, husband Frank Sr., and her son Frank Jr. She is survived by her daughters Shelina Thomas, Mindy Hill, Sons John Medaglia, Patrick Medaglia, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
The family, especially, Patrick, wishes to extend gratitude to Group Health, Providence Sacred Heart Hospital, Hospice of Spokane, and Touchmark Community Assisted Living for the dignified, caring and professional healthcare support. We would also like to thank the staff at Heritage Funeral Home for their wonderful care in helping with mom and dad?s funeral arrangements.
Viewing will be held Saturday, March 21 and Monday, March 23 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Rosary will take place Monday, March 23 at 7:00pm at Heritage Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 24 at 11:00am at Heritage Chapel, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
