July 29, 1952 - February 11, 2012

Brenda Joy Jenkins Obituary (Age 59) Born in Iowa July 29, 1952 to Arthur and Nellie Ritter and entered into rest February 11, 2012 in her family home. She was a wonderful, caring, giving woman who touched more people than she could fathom. She is survived by her husband Robert Jenkins of 34 years; six daughters Denise, Karen, Debbie, Kristi, Megan and Bobbi and their spouses; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her mother Nellie of Iowa; brothers Steve of Iowa and Paul of New Mexico and her in-laws Skip and Geraldine of New Mexico. Her family was the most important thing in her life and we will miss her tremendously. She served her country in the USAF faithfully for 20 years and experienced many new and exciting places including Japan, Greece, Russia and many others. When she retired she was actively involved with her daughter's sports and extracurricular activities in the Lakeside School District. She loved to bake and cook, do knitting, arts and crafts and was excellent at it. She dedicated her life to better her family and gave selflessly to so many. Words cannot describe the joy that she got while doing for others. She was a woman of God and a true testament to how a person should live. Nothing brought her more pride than her grandchildren, she was an extraordinary Nana, a suburb mother and wonderful wife. Our lives will never be the same without you and our home a bit darker, for spending an eternity with you would not be enough time. Please join us in celebrating her life at 3PM Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Suncrest Cornerstone Baptist Church, 5920 Hw
