November 11, 1998 - March 21, 2024
Brenden Douglas Kinney, 25, of Kennewick, WA, passed away on March 21, 2024.
Brenden was born November 11, 1998, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to Doug and Cheryl Kinney. Brenden was raised most of his life in Spokane, WA, and moved to Kentucky in 2015. He graduated from Madison Central HS in 2017, and from his transitions program at Frederick Douglass HS in 2020.
Brenden loved listening and rocking out to Christian and Country Music…and of course Taylor Swift! Brenden was deeply involved in his community and church his entire lifetime. He enjoyed spending his time shopping, dancing, bowling, and traveling. He found so much joy in FaceTiming his friends and loved ones who lived far away. He was an expert at making others smile and laugh.
His kindness, care and love for others was unmatched. Brenden exuded the fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23 of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Brenden’s life on earth was short, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the communities he was a part of.
Brenden is survived by his parents Doug Kinney and Cheryl Kinney; his sister Coralyn (Dylan) Havens; his brother Brian (Michaela) Kinney; his niece Lillian; his grandparents Tom and Ruby Kinney, Mary Jo Hood, and Robin Hoffman; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Michael Hoffman (Spokane, WA).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Heritage Funeral and Crematory; 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224. Public viewing begins 11:00am followed by a Service at 1pm. Receptio
