Calvin D. Tucker Obituary (Age 81) Calvin D. Tucker passed away May 13, 2015 in Coeur d'Alene, at Hospice House of North Idaho. He was born the son of Percy and Velma (Shields) Tucker in Fishtail, MT September 11, 1933. He lived in a log cabin until the family moved to North Idaho and a few years later to Spokane where he grew up and went to school. At age 17 he was a member of the National Guard until rheumatic fever made him ineligible for military duty. He retired after 32 years working for the City of Spokane. Cal loved motorcycles and owned several over the years. He belonged to several motorcycle clubs and was very involved in their charity events and traveled to motorcycle rallies in various areas of the U.S. He sold his last motorcycle in his late 70's. He became interested in the Evergreen Model Railroad Club and had several trains that he enjoyed running at the club while visiting with the other members. He and his wife, NancyJane, also belonged to Good Sam Club and camped out with the Greenacres Chapter. The last 10 years they traveled to Quartzsite, AZ every fall in their Road Trek and returned to Spokane in the spring. He was always full of fun and ready to help anyone who needed assistance. Cal is survived by his wife NancyJane, his son Steven, grandson Michael, great-grandsons Calin and Nicholes, as well as his brother Gilbert Tucker and his wife, Linda. Viewing will be at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 10am to 5pm. A Graveside Service will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 11am.
