Calvin Fletcher Modisett

Calvin Fletcher Modisett Obituary Passed away on July 21, 2011 at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital. He was 82 years old. Cal was born to David and Emma Modisett in Ruthven, IA in 1929. He was an officer in the Navy after attending the University of Nebraska, graduating in 1952. He remembers his time in the Navy, traveling to Korea and Japan, as a highlight of his life. In 1956 he married, Rhonda Sprenger. They had three children and later divorced. Cal was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He was a district manager for General Motors and after retiring in 1982, worked 10 years at the Gonzaga Law Library, where he thoroughly enjoyed working with the Gonzaga students. He is survived by his brother, Eldon Modisett; and three children Michelle West, John Modisett, and Sarah Lee. Cal also had 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the Union Gospel Mission.
