Calvin J. Grant Obituary (Age 68) Passed away on Sunday morning July 27, 2014 at Sacred Heart Medical Center with three of his children by his side. Calvin was born on June 25, 1946 in Fresno, CA to Pauline and Saginaw Grant, Jr. He was a member of the Sac and Fox Tribe of Oklahoma. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served 06 Oct 1965 - 13 May 1969 as an Aviation Electrician?s Mate Second Class (E-5) in the Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 1. He received a Viet Nam Service Medal, Viet Nam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon. Upon completing his military obligation he worked as an electrician for the IBEW for over 30 years. After retiring from the IBEW, he opened up an assisted living facility and took care of the elderly for 10 years. He loved riding his horses and restoring old cars in his spare time. He is survived by his sons Jason, Justin and Jesse and his daughters Lisa, Michelle and Alicia. He will be missed by those who loved him. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 5th at 3pm at the WA State Veterans Cemetery at Medical Lake.
