Calvin Lee Sullivan

Calvin Lee Sullivan, a 78‑year‑old Spokane resident, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 17th, 2026. He will be deeply missed, and his passing is a great loss to his family and friends.


Calvin was born on July 18th, 1947, to Raymond and Nettie Sullivan in Nampa, Idaho. He grew up alongside his two brothers, Bud and Pat, and his two sisters, Sherry and Bonnie.


Calvin married his wife, Linda Barzee, on April 19th, 1970. They shared 55 wonderful years together and raised two children: Calvin L. Sullivan Jr. and Lory L. Sullivan.


In 1968, Calvin joined the United States Army and served bravely in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1971. During his service, he received several accolades, including the National Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.


Calvin joined the Boilermakers Union Local 242 on June 6th, 1979, and dedicated many years to his trade before retiring on May 27th, 2009.


Calvin and Linda were longtime members of Valley Landmark Baptist Church. On February 18th, 2023, Calvin answered a calling to missionary work in Kenya, where he accomplished many meaningful things. He found great joy in helping others and volunteered on numerous special projects, always giving of his time and energy with a selfless heart.


Calvin lived a life of service, dedication, and love. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
