Carl "Denny" D. Newcomb Obituary Denny entered into his heavenly rest on August 28, 2015 with his loving family by his side. A lifelong resident of Spokane, he was born on March 17, 1939 and attended Rogers High School. Denny worked at Darigold Dairy for 42 years and always enjoyed sharing his love of fishing, camping and playing golf with his family and friends. When he retired he and Juanita enjoyed traveling and vacationing through many states including one of their favorite places, Lincoln City, Oregon where countless family gatherings took place. Denny loved all sports and he was inducted into the Spokane Softball Hall of Fame for his amazing years pitching. He was also a devoted fan of the Mariners, Seahawks, and Gonzaga basketball. He is survived by his wife Juanita; children: Jamie (Susan) Newcomb, Mike (Bev) Newcomb and Denise (Steve) Miller; grandchildren: Lauren, Jordan and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Julia and Frank; sisters: Sherry and JoAnne and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Horizon Hospice for their loving care. A special thank you to Nurse Ray and Chaplain Jim for their extra kindness and compassion. Also thank you to Dr. Michael Kwazman and Dr. Arvind Chaudhry for the devoted medical attention. Denny was above all a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be missed beyond words by all that were blessed to know him. A Celebration of Life will be held for Denny at the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W.
