August 23, 1948 - January 01, 2018

Carlene Vester Eneroth Obituary Carlene entered heaven on January 1, 2018. She passed away peacefully at home from Scleroderma which allowed complications to continually develop during recovery from lumbar fusion surgery for adult scoliosis. She was born August 23, 1948 in Spokane to Carl and Clara Nottingham. She graduated from North Central High School in 1966 and from Canadian Bible College in 1970. She married Greg Vester in 1973 and became a widow in 1982 when Greg died of a heart attack while waterskiing. Carlene married Don Eneroth in 1984. Her experiences as a widow inspired her to want to help out others going through similar circumstances. She started a support group for widows called Solitares, wrote 2 books on dealing with grief and helping those who lost someone. She also wrote a monthly article called Letters from Carlene for Bereavement Magazine and did workshops on helping others. In 2001 she was diagnosed with Scleroderma which caused her to have to give up her writing and speaking. She channeled her passion to help others into sending encouraging cards to people during difficult times for them. She had a real gift of encouragement and many people treasure the cards she has sent them. Carlene and Don enjoyed numerous vacations to the Oregon Coast through the years with their dogs Otis, Edgar and Ernie. They also enjoyed trips to Arizona. They enjoyed the Gonzaga Womens Basketball team with their season tickets. Carlene also loved to read and has quite a collection of books on World War II. Carlene is survived by her husband Don and their little dog Ernie, her sister Nancy (Bruce) Johns and her niece Janelle Weston. She is also survived by her extended family Ken and Roxanne Eneroth, Dave and Dovie Eneroth, Mark and Karen Langager, nieces Kendra, Dana, Tara, Amy, Nicole and Jennifer, nephew Kevin and father-in-law Dale Eneroth.
