Carol Ann Boyle Schaal Obituary (Age 80) Born December 8, 1936 in Reardan, WA. Carol was a 56 year resident of Spokane, WA, Medical Lake, WA for 15 years, Tennessee for 2 years and California for 2 years. She attended the Medical Lake School District and then went on to Kinman Business University in Spokane, WA. Carol married Martin A. Shaal on May 11, 1957. Carol retired after 30 years at Banner Furnace and Fuel, Spokane, WA. Before Banner Fuel, she worked at AAA for 9 years. During her career, she volunteered at Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, the Ronald McDonalds House, The Crisis Clinic and S.C.O.P.E. Carols great pride and accomplishment is her sons, Jeffrey (Melissa) Schaal and Jason Schaal. She is also survived by grandsons, Ryan (Ashley) Hadley, Nathan Schaal, Andrew Schaal Pandora and Zachary Schaal; sister, Elda Susan Boyle; and her dear cousin, Kay Roulear. Carol was preceded in death by her grandparents/parents Barbara and Felix J. Boyle. Her brothers Steven Shaw and Felix Boyle. Carol would like to recognize and thank her special friends, Barbara Carter and Robert McIntrye. Also her close friends from Banner Fuel. Carol died from complications from cancer on February 2, 2017 in Spokane, WA. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 10th at 10am at Heritage Funeral Home. She will be buried at Spokane Memorial Gardens. If you would like to donate in Carols honor, she would like you to give to the Union Gospel Mission. Happiness is a state of mind! Sadness is losing such a dear friend!
