Carol Anne Kouni-Withey-Bostrom Obituary
Carol Anne Kouni-Withey-Bostrom went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 8, 2015. She was born in Orofino, ID on February 15, 1939 to Kenneth and Alma Kouni. After graduating from Orofino High School, Carol went back to school to become a beautician and later to become a realtor. After divorcing her first husband Myron ?Skip? Withey she met the real love of her life, Lawrence P. Bostrom Jr. who preceded her to heaven on October 31, 2013. Carol was well known and loved by many people outside of her immediate family. In 1978 Carol became an entrepreneur when she, her daughter Kathy and husband Larry opened Carol's Gift Shoppe & T-Shirt Gallery on Garland next to the theatre. The store relocated later to Wellesley across from the North town Mall. She made a lot of friends in the 28 plus years the store was open as well as with numerous bingo buddies and playing with her Elliott?s pool league team. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, by her first husband, as well as by her ?LarBear? (husband Larry Bostrom Jr.) and her best friend ?Baby? the cat. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Withey (Spokane), son and daughter-in- law Ken and Patty Withey (Hauser, ID), granddaughter Christina Withey (Seattle), grandsons Jason Withey(Spokane), Michael Withey (Spokane), Steven Withey and his wife Joellen (Tacoma) and Thomas Withey (Spokane), three great-granddaughters, Alexis Withey, Tiziana Withey, & Miria Withey and one great-grandson Emmerick Withey. We will all miss her terribly and look forward to being reunited with her in the future. There will be a memorial for Carol at Heritage Funeral Home at 3:00, on Friday, July 17th with services conducted by longtime family friend, Pastor Jeff McCullough. Afterwards Carol will be placed alongside her husband Larry at the Eastern Washington Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, Washington.
