Carol Ellen Estes Obituary (Age 90) Carol, beloved mother, sister, aunt and grand-mother quietly passed in her sleep on February 24, 2012 in Tekoa, WA. She was born October 23, 1921 to William and Buella McBride in Clarkston, WA. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Laurence of 53 years and her sister Betty Sander. Carol is survived by one son, Ronald Lynn (Pamela) Estes; her sister Joyce (John) Jones; four grandchildren Deborah (Kevin) Simpson, Anthony (Roberta) Valiquette, Tara (Jeff) Mazza and Deanna Estes; seven great-grandchildren Ashley, Nathan, Jacob, Bella, Siena, Spencer and Shiloh; her dear nieces and nephews and their families. Mom showed her love through her cooking. Whether it was in the kitchens of the restaurants she worked, the family dinners she made or the church gatherings she helped with over the years. Mother enjoyed her handiwork for many years. Earlier she held knitting and crocheting gatherings, she did macrame till her hands couldn't do it and toward the end of her active life made quilts which will be with us for a long time. Visitation will be Thursday 10-5PM at Heritage and the Funeral Service 2PM Friday, March 2, 2012 at Heritage Chapel. Interment at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
