Carol Marie Wolensky Obituary (Age 70) Carol was born November 26, 1940 in Barnsville, PA to Carl and Alice Musser. She passed away February 26, 2011 at her home in Airway Heights. Carol was a loving, hardworking and loyal mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend. She was a devoted military wife of 24 years. On April 17, 1965 Carol married her first husband William Murphy Sr. After his passing, she married her second husband John June 23, 1983. Carol enjoyed working in the dining facility and was a manager at Fairchild Air Force Base, as well as working as a cafeteria worker on various other bases. She was well traveled, living and working in Germany, Nebraska and Pennsylvania before settling in Spokane in 1977. Some of Carol?s hobbies include playing darts with her daughter June, bowling, knitting, embroidery, tinkering on the piano, listening and dancing to music from Lawrence Welk as well as watching The Little House on the Prairie series and movies, especially ones with Elvis. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and attended Catholic services at Fairchild Chapel with her family. Together they learned to have trust in their God. Carol is survived by her sisters Lorella and Grace; children June and Bill; grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Sydnee and Carol Marie, aka CJ Murphy. She is also survived by her many loving friends and GI buddies that she served over the years; she loved you all very much and considered you family. She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister and her 2 much loved husbands. Visitation for Carol will be held Wednesday, March 2nd from 10:00AM to 5:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 3rd at 1:00 PM at Heritage Chapel. Carol was very proud to support the recovery of her son Bill and other individuals from their addictions through the active involvement of the ROAR program and Celebrate Recovery at Family of Faith Community Church.
