Carol Sue Franson Obituary Carol Sue Franson, age 82 of Spokane, went to be with the Lord on June 15th 2023 from multiple system failure. She was born to Richard and Jacqueline McLellan, in the family who owned Mac�s Riding Stables at the Seven Mile Bridge. She graduated from Nine Mile Grade School, North Central High School (1959), and Deaconess Nursing School (1962), as the first of 3 sisters. Carol married Herbert Franson June 15th 1962, raising their family in a six sided house Herb built on family land. Carol�s favorite area of nursing was neonatal intensive care (NICU) and pediatrics. She was part of the first neonatal transport team in Spokane, transporting high risk babies from surrounding areas, by ambulance, helicopter, and small plane. She had many hobbies including cake decorating, knitting, macram�, crochet, sewing, quilting, cooking. Carol was known for handwritten notes with articles and gifts that showed her love. She enjoyed family dinners and birthday parties with love of anticipation and planning. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Jacqueline McLellan, and sisters Michele Wiltse and Phyllis Frey. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Herb Franson; her children, Greg (& Debbie) Franson, Gail King, Jeff (& Debra) Franson, Eric (& Alicia) Franson; five grandchildren, Jalayne Toland, Chelsea Franson, Davis King, Veronica Franson, George Franson; and five great grandchildren, Grey, Mordecai, Michael, Marshall, Olivianna. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer�s Association or Hospice of Spokane.
