Carroll C. McCormick Obituary Passed away on November 8, 2009. He was born on February 25, 1933 in Spokane, WA to Charles and Margery Stockwell McCormick. He grew up in Harrington, WA and graduated from Harrington High School. Carroll served in the Armed Forces during the Korean War. He attended several universities, ultimately earning a masters degree from Whitworth College. Carroll spent 5 years in Zimbabwae as a missionary/teacher and also traveled to Palau spending 2 years teaching at a community college. He then returned to Spokane teaching at North Central High School until his retirement in 1992. He then joined the Peace Corps spending 2 years in Panama. He is preceded in death by a son William and brothers Jim, Don, and Lynn. He is survived by his wife Betty Ann; sisters Janet and Ilse; sons Robert of Phoenix, John and his wife Pepe of Spokane; daughter-in-law Kate; granddaughters Olivia and Elaina of Spokane and 7 step grandchildren. A reception will be held in his honor on Saturday, November 21st from 1 to 5 PM at the McCormicks, 817 S. Adams St., Spokane, WA. 99204.
