Cecil F. Hamby

Cecil F. Hamby Obituary (Age 71) Passed away November 20, 2011. He was a very proud son of "The South". Born in Atlanta, GA, the only child of Nannie Mae and beloved grandson of his "granny" Mary Ellen Wise. He only finished the 6th grade in school but he was able to gain a trade as an industrial electrician. He retired from ASC Machine Tools in 1998. He was also an experienced mechanic-if he couldn't fix it-no one could. He married Janet May 28, 1982 and together they raised their three sons Jeff, Pat and Steve. He loved fishing, boating, camping and his Harley. He was a member of the Machinists Union, Eagles Lodge and Moose Lodge. Cecil is survived by his wife of 29 � years Janet; sons Jeffry (Dominique), Patrick (Chandie), Steven (Ahnika); daughters Sherrie Ann and Rebecca Ann; grandchildren Trenton, Aiden, Delaina, Alexia and unborn granddaughter Amber; mother-in-law Ruth Danel; numerous in-laws and long time close friends Iris, Joseph, Al, Carol, Ken, Keith and Matt. He was preceded in death by his mother Nannie Mae Hamby. Visitation Wednesday 10-5PM and Friday 8-5PM at Heritage and Funeral Service 1PM Saturday Nov. 26, 2011 at Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the local Salvation Army.
