Charles "Chuck" G. Klemme Obituary Charles (Chuck) G. Klemme, age 79, of Medical Lake, died at his home on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Mr. Klemme was surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren at the time of his passing. Charles Klemme was born in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin on January 11, 1935 and married Harriet ?Sue? Clay on August 15th, 1958 in Stevenson, WA. He enjoyed 55 years of marriage to Sue before passing away. Chuck attended the University of Wisconsin and Oregon State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Engineering in June of 1961. He joined the United States Air Force branch of the Armed Services in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1963 with the rank of Airman 1st Class. Chuck worked in the forest product industry as a Logging Engineer, Professional Land Surveyor, and Pacific Rim Log Sales Specialist. After retiring from Kimberly Clark in 1990 Chuck and Sue lived their life as ?Snow Birds? and split their residency between Yuma, AZ and Port Susan, WA. In 2009 they decided to stop their annual migration and moved to a hobby farm at their current home in Medical Lake, WA. Chuck Klemme was a member of numerous organizations including: Jaycee?s, Kiwanis, Society of American Foresters, Xi Sigma Pi National Forestry Honor Society, Chapter Secretary of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Mitchell Airman Society, and Boy Scouts of America. Most importantly, Chuck was a member of the family of God and was saved by Grace through the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Charles Klemme is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Eleanor Klemme. He is survived by his wife Sue, his son Mark Klemme and wife Risa of Medical Lake, WA, his daughter Sheryl Sandal and husband Kevin of Everett, WA, his sister Diane Thusius of Madison, WI, his brother Donald Klemme and wife Janet of Sheboygan Falls, WI, his brother David Klemme of Kohler, WI. Grandpa Chuck (Bumpa) is also survived by five grandchildren (Lisa, Sarah, Daniel, Lyssa, and Jamie) and two great-grandchildren (Jacob and Madison). Hospice of Spokane assisted our family with dad's end of life palliative care. They continue to be a valuable source of support to our family through a very difficult time. In consideration of their excellent care our family has asked that in lieu of flowers a contribution be made to Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99201.
