Charles "Chuck" Wilson Obituary
(Age 96) Charles passed away on June 17, 2016 in Spokane, WA. He was born on April 10, 1920 in Seattle, WA to parents James and Lucia Annie Wilson. Charles, also known as ?Chuck? or ?Charlie?, graduated from West Valley High School in Millwood, WA in 1938. He then attended Washington State College before joining the U.S. Army. Chuck served during WWII from 1941-1945. He worked for Pacific Northwest Bell as a telephone technician and in his free time enjoyed working with electronics, including the adaptive electronic equipment he made for Easter Seal children. Charles was a member of St. Paul?s United Methodist Church, Masons, American Legion, ARRL Amateur Radio and volunteered at the Spokane Visitors Bureau. He is survived by his wife Catherine; brother James Wilson; children Bill (Samra) Keller, Sandra (Dale) Zehm, Susan (Joe) Heidenreich, Patricia (Ken) Hughey, John (Cheree) Moffitt, Ted (Supriya) Moffitt and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 3pm at Liberty Park United Methodist Church, 1526 E 11th Ave, Spokane, WA 99202. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 911 W 5th Ave, Spokane, WA 99204 and Our Place Community Ministries, 1509 W College Ave, Spokane, WA 99201.
