Charles "Roy" Sandberg Obituary (Age 83) Passed away September 4, 2010. He was born October 13, 1926 in Choteau, MT to Roy A. and Marguerite Sandberg. He worked as a truck driver for freight companies. He graduated from North Central High School and served in the Merchant Marine division of the Coast Guard during WWII. He was preceded in death by his first wife Virginia in 1999, they had been married for 50 years. Roy is survived by his second wife of nine years Arlene M. Sandberg; sons Jeff (Nancy) Sandberg of Wenatchee, John (Linda) Sandberg of Spokane; daughter Jenise (Jim Ebisch) Sandberg of Spokane; brothers Ken (Janice) Sandberg and Jim (Shirley) Sandberg of Moses Lake; step-children Dave (Mary) Hines and Susan Babbit of Spokane; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 nieces and 15 nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother Norman Sandberg. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, attended Spokane Valley Assembly of God Church, was an active bowler, enjoyed fishing, horses, water skiing, watching his grandchildren's sports and pinochle. Visitation will be Thursday Sept. 9th 10-5PM at Heritage and a Funeral Service 11:00AM Friday Sept. 10, 2010 at Heritage Chapel.
