Cheryl Kenney Obituary (Age 72) Cheryl passed away December 20, 2017. She was born in Spokane, March 3, 1945, the only child of Kennan and Allene Sherburne. She attended Garfield grade school and graduated with the 1963 class of North Central High School. She was a violinist in the Orchestra there, and was a Color Girl/Red Feather. She worked various bookkeeping jobs and retired working as a legal assistant. She was married 54 years to the love of her life, John Kenney, whom she met September 5, 1950, on the first day of Kindergarten. She loved her pets, her daughter Maura, son-in-law Dan Kegley, and her two grandsons, Ian and Eric. She loved reading, knitting, music, laughter and a good story. She fought a brave battle with heart disease for 25 years. Along the way she impressed a lot of people with her strength, positive attitude and resilience. She was a devoted mother, wife, friend, listener, and counselor. She was loved by all that met her, and she will be greatly missed. A simple memorial will be held to celebrate her life at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, December 30th at 11:00am.
