Chris Robin Hainsworth Obituary (Age 55) Chris peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer. In the final days of his life he was surrounded by those who loved him most--his wife, brothers, and friends who called, sent messages and came from all over the country to spend his last days with him. Chris was born March 7, 1962 in Portland, OR to Morris and Tanya Hainsworth. He was the 5th of 8 children. In 1964 the family moved to Spokane, WA which would always be "home" to Chris. He attended Hamblen Elementary, Sacajawea Middle school and graduated in 1980 from Ferris High School. While Chris was a student at Brigham Young University he studied abroad in Jerusalem, Israel where he formed close friendships that exist to this day and developed a love for the Holy Land. He was so enthusiastic about his experience he inspired siblings, friends and cousins to study abroad in the Holy Land. In 1988 Chris met the love of his life Teresa Angell. They were married December 28, 1989 in the Manti, UT LDS Temple. Over the years the lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, Tel Aviv, Israel, Alexandria, VA and most recently in Huntsville, AL. Wherever they lived Chris formed lifelong friendships. He and Teresa loved to travel and saw most of the world together. Their favorite destination was always their annual trip to the family lake cabin in Coeur dAlene. Chris's final trip was in August, 2017 where he entertained some of his favorite friends. Chris was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In 1981-83 he served a full time mission in New England. He was a great teacher and loved serving in the youth programs of the church. Chris was a friend to all who knew him. He was kind and generous always opening his home to friends for football games and hosting friends at the family lake cabin. Chris is survived by his wife Teresa of Huntsville, Alabama, his parents Morris and Tanya of Spokane, WA, his brothers Rex (Maple Valley, WA), Loren (Lynnette) and Jim (Laura) of Spokane, WA., Matt (Cheryl) Meridian, ID, Jason (Andrea) and Melissa (Tray) of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by Teresa's parents, Lynn and Peggy Angell and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many who called him Uncle and best friend. He is preceded in death by his sister Shanna Dawn. A viewing and funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 2721 E. 63rd Ave., Spokane, WA 99223. The viewing will begin at 9:30 am and the service will begin at 10:30 am. Chris will be interred at Greenwood Memorial Terrace after the service.
