Clara D. Danner

June 16, 1933 - December 19, 2013

Clara D. Danner Obituary Passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her home and surrounded by family in Spokane, WA. Clara was born in Anaconda, Montana on June 16, 1933 to Thomas and Stella Patch. She grew up with brothers John, Tony, and Nick and graduated from Alberton High School in 1951. After high school, Clara moved to Spokane and went to Kinman Business College and later attended beauty school. She worked from her home beauty shop for 37 years, where her clients became beloved friends. Clara had a strict open-door policy with friends and neighbors constantly dropping by for coffee and conversation. In 1973, Clara married Karl Danner. They were avid fans of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners. They were season ticket holders for the Seahawks, and enjoyed traveling back and forth to the games for 14 years. Clara is survived by sons Donald and (Debra) of Yakima, WA., Jeff and (Brenda) Danner of Spokane, WA., daughters Luann and (Bill) Pelton of Beaverton, OR., Renita Foust and (Terry Gadberry) of Port Orchard,WA., Karla Pierson of Spokane, WA., Julie and (Jeff) Tye of Moses Lake, WA., 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Clara was preceded in death by her mother, father, her husband Karl, three brothers, three nieces and one nephew. Services will be held in the spring of 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Breast Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Florence Samels, Renee and Brent Sinnott, Beverly Cogburn, Patty Aerni, Jennifer and Dave Mendenhall, and Francine Felice for their many years of love and support.
