Clara Elizabeth Allen Obituary
(Age 102) Passed away October 25, 2016. She was born Sept. 10, 1914 in Mt. Vernon, WA to Joseph and Clara Lamping. She graduated in 1933 from the old Hillyard High School. She has resided in the Spokane Valley for the last 90 plus years. Clara was an avid gardner, homemaker and mother. She retired as a secretary of the superintendent of East Valley School District. She was an active member of the Altar Society at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish. Clara is survived by a son James C. Allen of Cda, ID; daughters Janet Collins of 9 Mile Falls, WA and Donna Johnson of Auburn, WA; 9 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl F. Allen. Rosary 10:30 am Friday October 28, 2016 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish, 503 N. Farr Road. Memorial Contributions may be made to her church or Kindred Hospice.
