Claudene Larson Obituary (Age 80) Passed away on June 15, 2010 in Spokane, WA. She was born on November 25, 1929 in Juliaetta, Idaho to Claude and Lois Clark. Claudene attended Fix Ridge School and graduated from Juliaetta High School. In 1948 she came to Pend Oreille County where she met and married Donald "Swede" Larson. They lived at Sullivan Lake for 40 years where they raised their sons Don and Brad. Claudene was employed by Mt. Linton Hospital and later for the Selkirk School District. She loved God and attended church at the Selkirk Bible Chapel. Claudene enjoyed spending time with her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharing time with her family and friends was very important to her and all came away feeling better for it. She was preceded in death by her husband Swede in 1989. She is survived by her sons Donald W. (Shirley)Larson of Clarkston, WA and Brad W. (Liz) Larson of Metaline Falls,; grandchildren Christy (Hank) Burns, Leah Larson, Alicia Larson, Molly (Mace) Thivierge and Megan Larson; six great-grandchildren; brother Dean Clark and sisters Joann Fosness and Carol Mondich. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Noon at the Metaline Cemetery with a potluck dinner following at the Lillian Bailey School in Metaline Falls. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Ione Fire & Rescue Unit or Pend Oreille Fire District No. 2.
