December 22, 1945 - June 02, 2015

Claudia Rose Montague Obituary Claudia passed away June 2, 2015. She was born December 12, 1945 in Sandpoint, ID to Henry Emmett and Rose Mae Sevier. She was raised in the Pacific Northwest. Her brightest years in childhood were spent in Junction City, OR, with her brothers David, Dallace, and Doug and little sister LuLu. She knew her husband Danny all her life but fell in love when she was 16. They were married on February 16, 1963. They had their first son David Henry on January 3, 1964. Their second son Darrell Robert on October 22, 1966. Their only daughter Dina Faye was born on January 14, 1969. They had a baby boy 13 years later, Daniel Robert II, on December 23, 1982. She lost her beloved husband Danny in June of 2000 to an aggressive cancer. She went on to earn her GED as widowed woman in her 50's, which was quite an accomplishment. Claudia was a server by trade because she loved people and making them smile. She spent the last decade of her work life at the Cathay Inn with her best friend Lilly. She was an avid reader (her favorite book was THE COLOR PURPLE, by Alice Walker). A passionate gardener, she loved to sing and dance to Elvis. She loved movies, especially a good drama that could make you cry, but never anything scary. She had the most contagious laugh in the world. Claudia loved "her people" most of all. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 8 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Chapel.
