October 31, 1951 - May 01, 2018

Connie C. Rhodes Obituary Connie passed away on May 1, 2018. She was born on October 31, 1951 in Spokane to Garland and Lillian Sturm. Lovingly called Conrad by family and friends, she grew up in Spokane and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1970. After high school she went to work at the Beetle Barn for a short while. She was at her best in sales, so she went to work for United Construction. In 1988 Conrad decided to start her own company, Contractors Supply. She ran the business for almost 20 years and then retired to take care of her many dogs and cats. It also allowed her to spend more time working in her beautiful yard with all of her flowers. She took great pride in her house and her yard. Conrad loved cats and dogs, so she decided to take a position on the board at the Humane Society for a short time. She also had a big heart, not only for her pets, but also for friends, and she had many great friends. Conrad is survived by her husband of over 30 years George Rhodes, her brother Curt Sturm (Luz), brother-in-law Gary Rhodes, and her sister-in-law Cheryl Mercer, of Seattle. Conrad is also survived by a very special father-in-law George Rhodes Sr. of Spokane and a very special mother-in-law Sue Mercer of Maple Valley as well as many special nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM in the Banquet Room at the Ref Sports Bar, 14208 E Sprague Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N Havana St, Spokane WA 99217.
