Council Steven Harrison Obituary (Age 85) Council was born October 1, 1930 in Sanford, FL. He is the son of the late Mack and Lillie May Harrison. He was the last of his six brothers and three sisters. Council, who was affectionately known as Steve, has also resided in New Canaan and Stanford, CT as well as Rochester, NY prior to joining the Air Force. He was stationed in Spokane at Fairchild Air Force Base. Steve was honorably discharged from the service in 1955. He later made Spokane his home. After leaving the service, Steve was employed by Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation for 31 years, where he retired. Steve met and married Christie Gill in 1970. They later divorced. Family was very important to him and he loved spending time with them. Steve peacefully departed this life on February 5, 2016. His memory will be cherished by his sons, Joseph (Carol), Nico (Darlise) and Brandon (Tarah); daughters Elizabeth (Ozzie), Shivaun (Ron) and Patricia; grandsons, Garian, Devon, Christian Council, Frankie, Ethan, Liam, Ben and Trevor; granddaughters, Ryleigh, Rainy, Jodelle, Chevelle, Nia, Paityn, Noelle, Faith and Aleyah as well as a host of other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 13 at 11:00am at Morning Star Baptist Church, 3909 W. Rowan. Just A Memory Away By council S. Harrison I am no longer by your side, But there's no need to weep I've left sweet recollections, I'm hoping you will keep Eternal joy and memories, Stay in our hearts forever Strengthening our special bond, That parting cannot sever Now it's time to journey on, So let your strength be strong For I am in a better place, I'm home where I belong And if times of loneliness, Bring sorrow and dismay Don't despair for I am there, Just a memory away
