Dana Marie Dunning Obituary (Age 61) Dana Marie Dunning passed away on August 9, 2018 surrounded by her family. Dana was born in Superior, MT on December 25, 1956 to Marilyn and Gerry Durkin. Dana graduated from Lewis and Clark High School. She later moved to Anchorage, AK and worked at the International Duty Free/Airport for 20 years where she was a supervisor. Then she moved back to Spokane to join her family and started her 20-year career with Lincare Pharmaceutical Supplies. Then she married her husband, Mike Dunning, and became a wonderful mother to his son, Taylor. She loved the great outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, reading and time spent in her special garden. She also loved to be with her friends from Lincare. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerry Durkin; step-father, Joe Akins; and brother, Rich Akins. She is survived by her husband, Mike; son, Taylor; grandchild, Wyatt; mother, Marilyn Akins; brothers, Joey, John and Pat Akins; mother-in-law, Shirley Durkin; sister-in-law, Stacy Beal and brother-in-law, Dave Dunning. Dana will be remembered by her great wit, smile and her fun-loving personality! She radiated kindness! Dana will be laid to rest on Friday, August 31st at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home. There will be a reception following the service at Adirondack Lodge, 2711 E. Adirondack Lane, Spokane, WA 99223.
