Daniel Payne Obituary

Daniel Payne was born in a tent on the banks of the Snake River in Burley, Idaho on April the 12,1920. No middle initial or middle name, as Dan said, "The family could not afford one". He served in the CCC during the depression and in WWII with General George Pattton in North Africa and Europe. Upon his return from active duty Dan was employed as a Teamster until his retirement in 1982. Dan was preceded in death by his mother and father, his two sisters, Grace and Rita, two brothers, Sidney and George, wives Ruby and Henrietta and daughter, Joyce. Dan is survived by his daughter Elaine and husband, Bruce Vonada, of Spokane, Washington, daughter, Diane and her husband Larry Foster of Covina, California, son, Danny and his wife Glenna Payne of Sumass, Washington, as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Daniel will be missed by the many people who came in touch with his life, and people who shared time with Dan getting to know him, and to listen to, as well as share in his life's story. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27th from 10:00AM till 5:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, 12:00PM at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W Wellesley.
