Daniel Timothy "Paly Man" Miller Obituary Daniel T. passed away July 21, 2018 at the young age of 88. Dan was born in Portland, Oregon to Agnes Eve O?Leary Miller and Joseph George Miller on October 28, 1929. At age 11, his family relocated to Spokane during WWII. Upon his arrival in Spokane, Dan became a paperboy for the Spokane Chronical where his passion for sales developed. He often talked to his children of these days and his service to Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral as an altar boy where he attended daily mass with his mother throughout his youth. After graduating from Gonzaga High School, he served in the US Army as a yard master in the Korean War. Upon returning from the war, Dan enrolled in Gonzaga University and received a Bachelors in Accounting. He had a sharp business sense and a knack for making his work play! He was also an enthusiastic sailor and world traveler who had an addiction to Disney Land and Mickey Mouse. His enormous appetite for family, friendship, travel, and food showed in his generosity. In his final days he was surrounded in spirit and in person by his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. He received the most compassionate care from the Mann-Grandstaff Veterans Administration CLC & Hospice?we are forever grateful. Dan Miller had presence that was larger than life! We will miss his witty sayings and jokes! Living up it with Big Dan was such a pleasure; he was cracking jokes and making us laugh until the end! He is survived by his five children: Agnes Blome, Clarice (John) King, Marie Miller, Mickaela (David) Suchon, and Nathan Miller; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife Loretta Mary DePaolo Miller, his brother, four sisters, and his beloved grandson, Taylor Dee Miller.
