Darrel Gene Jepsen

October 6th, 1937 - June 21st, 2026


Darrel Gene Jepsen was born on October 6, 1937, in Franklin, Idaho, and went home to be with the Lord on Father's Day, June 21, 2026, at his home in Medical Lake, Washington.

He was raised on a farm in Preston, Idaho, the only son of Clara and Elias Jepsen. Darrel had five sisters: Deanna Larsen, Eileen Anderson, Kaydawn Cole, Sannetee Lowe, and Debra McCloy.

Darrel retired in 1999 from Western States Heavy Equipment Company.


He was an avid Republican and often contributed to his favorite candidates and causes. Darrel loved music and had a beautiful voice. He sang at churches, with groups, at funerals, at weddings, and even in musicals during high school and college.

Darrel is survived by his wife, Connie; three children, Linda Baird, Laurie Moyer, and Jaydee Jepsen; and five stepchildren: Christine Cable, Angela Armstrong, Dwayne Carl, Melissa Huston, and Amy Chicoine.


Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Elias Jepsen; his sister, Deanna Larsen; his son, Jack Jepsen; and his granddaughter, Elissa Jepsen.

Darrel was loved by all and will be greatly missed.


A Celebration of Life will be held on July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral & Cremation, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224. A brief reception will follow.
