Darrell C. Smith Obituary (Age 81) Darrell was born June 28, 1932 in Lake Field, MN to Lyle and Tillie Smith. He passed away December 29, 2013 in Spokane. Darrell married Eileen Clementson on June 14, 1951 in Eagle Bend, MN. He later graduated from University of Minnesota in 1954 earning his bachelor?s degree. In his spare time Darrell enjoyed pheasant hunting with his lab, snow skiing, growing roses, and has traveled to all 50 of the United States and all over Western Europe. He worked for a salesman for almost 20 years until he purchased an orchard in Greenbluff and was and orchardist for 41 years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Darrell is survived by his wife Eileen Smith, son Gary (Kathryn) Smith, grandchildren Stephanie (Simon) Pope, Adam (Adinna) Smith and Samuel Smith, daughter Lynea Scher and Alan McCormic, grandchildren Ryan Scher, Rachel (Luke) Folger and great-granddaughter Olivia Pope. He is preceded in death by his sister Eileen Lange and brother LeRoy Smith. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm at First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N Country Homes Blvd, Spokane.
