In Loving Memory:
​Darrell Edward Downey, age 83, passed away on April 12, 2026.
​Darrell was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and had a distinguished career as a First Responder, Fireman, and EMT. He found his most personal and rewarding work was spending summer seasons serving throughout numerous National Parks.
​Those closest to Darrell knew him as a quiet, good, kind, and generous man. He was often described as being generous to a fault—a person who truly believed that others were always more in need than himself. He will be remembered for his selflessness and the way he devoted himself to helping and caring for his family and friends.
​Darrell was preceded in death by his beloved family members, and countless close friends and those he deeply loved.
​He will be interred on May 12, 2026, during a private service.
