On the evening of October 5th, 2025 Darrell James Morgan passed away, he was surrounded by his loved ones at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was 67 years old.
Darrell was born on May 15th, 1958 in Spokane, Washington to James and Jeanette Morgan. Growing up in Millwood, Washington he graduated from West Valley High School in 1976. Darrell had many skills and worked in all kinds of trades. He graduated from ITT Tech and went to work for Key Tronic in the early 80s. With layoffs, he later worked in HVAC, then finally got his CDL and found a fit with Snyder’s bakery until he was forced into retirement due to injury.
He married Kerry Edwards in 1980 and the couple had two children. They later divorced. He then married Tandra Schuman 1990 and the couple welcomed two children and they also divorced. He spent the last 24 years of his life with his life partner, Valerie Summers.
Darrell enjoyed all things outdoors; camping, boating, working on his home and different properties over the years. He loved his home and shop that he spent years building. He always took pride in working on his many vehicles and restoring a few over the years with his son. Darrell would always be busy with a project! His family and friends will always remember him as an outgoing, storytelling, loving person that could start a conversation with anyone.

Darrell is survived by his partner, Valerie; daughter, Brandy Gambill (Chadwick); Son, Bryan Morgan (Emily); daughter, Chelsea Cummings (Sean); Son, James Morgan (Autumn); Step-Son, Justin Pollard; Brother, Dennis Morgan; Sister, Jeannie Hensley; and Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Olivia, Kenzie and Madison. He was preceded in death by his Parents, James and Jeanette Morgan.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 12:00PM on October 24th, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home with a reception to immediately follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Darrell’s life. Floral arrangements can be sent directly to Heritage Funeral and Cremation.
