Darrell McDowell, 64 passed away on August 21, 2024 at his home in Spokane after a long illness. He was born in Spokane on August 5, 1960 to Shirley and Lee McDowell.

He graduated from Shadle Park HS and went onto earn degrees in computer programming and carpentry/cabinetry. He owned and operated a computer business in Spokane. He also worked as a journeyman Carpenter/Welder on many jobs in the Spokane Area. Later in life he was a conductor for BNSF in Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona and Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Missie (Mildred), His Children Christina (Josh) Freeman, Daniel (Teigan) Thomas – Matthew. Father Lee, Sister Amy (Ron) Voeller, brother Greg and 2 loving granddaughters. Darrell was preceeded in death by his mother Shirley and brother Mark McDowell.

A graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 2:30 PM in the Greenwood Cemetery; 211 N Government Way 99224. All are welcome to attend and share memories of Darrell.
