David J. Fyhr Obituary
Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend was lifted into the Hands of The Heavenly Father on Sunday July 26, 2009. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 23, 1944. Dave was an extraordinary individual who truly lived life to the fullest and passed into eternal life doing what he loved. The void of his infectious laugh, smiling eyes, and big bear hugs is already felt by the many he has left behind. Dave was a man with many great talents and turned everything he touched into a masterpiece. A retired Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, Dave continued his adventurous life as a proud member of: Christian Motorcycle Association - Head of Child Ministries IVER/CMA, Patriot Guard, Lilac City Goldwings - News Editor GWTA, WA State Certified Motorcycle Instructor, Volunteered and served on the Board at Camp Goodtimes, Head Counselor for Royal Rangers, a part-time school bus driver Cheney S.D., and a dedicated member of Lake City Assembly of God in Medical Lake - Church bus driver taking kids to Sunday School. He was everything to his family from the photographer to the biggest fan of his family members' endeavors to the giver of many precious gifts. It is those gifts that will leave an everlasting memory with those who loved Dave. Possessing a heart of gold, Dave led an exemplary life of love and forgiveness. He shared this freely with all who knew him. To know Dave was to love him. Dave is survived by his wife Tina, children John (Deena), Michael, Jessica, Deanna, stepdaughter Michele (Justo) Silva, brother Dale (Ruth) Fyhr, in-laws Carlotta (John) Kallas, Mikki (Jenny) Panther, grandchildren, cousins, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday August 5, 2009 at Heritage Chapel. Viewing will be Monday and Tuesday August 3rd and 4th 2009 at Heritage 10-5PM. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Jesuits at Gonzaga University who have become part of our family, especially Father Al Morrisette,
Dave's closest friends Mitch and Sharie Williams, and the many numerous friends who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. We are at peace knowing Dave is soaring freely with his Heavenly Father. The hardest part will be waiting to soar with him. Dave will live on in his family and in the many hearts he forever touched. We love you so much Dave. Be free our friend...Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society-Camp Good Times East, 920 N. Washington #200 Spokane 99201 in memory of Dave (Walleye) Fyhr.
