David Lawrence Stone Obituary (Age 69) Passed away August 14, 2017 in Cheney, WA. He was born December 31, 1947 in Bremerton, WA to Les and Allie Stone. David grew up in Southern California. He joined the Navy right out of High School, then joined the Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. He retired from the Army with a total of 29 years of military service, and also retired from the U.S. Postal service, where he worked for 30 years. He married his wife, Charlotte, in 1975 in Spokane WA. He loved fishing, camping, volunteering for work projects through his church and community, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also loved coffee with a passion. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; his stepfather, Curly Tachell; his siblings, Rick, Patricia, Dan and Jacquie; his daughters and their spouses, Wendy and Steve, Brenda and Shilo, Janell and Evan; and his seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Les Stone, and mother, Allie Tachell, as well as siblings, Ronald and Deanna. Services will be held at Redemption Church, 400 E. Grace St., Medical Lake on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:30am, followed by a private burial at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in his favorite coffee pot.
