David Layne Church passed away November 27, 2017 in Plummer, ID. He was born December 6, 1958 in Dallas, OR to Eugene Claude Church and Leona Marie Heiner. David was married in 1978 to Peggy Cheney and had three children: Lisa, David and Leslie. Then, in July of 1986, he married Benita Lynne Luna in Des Moines, IA. David and Benita had two sons together, John and Robert Church. David was baptized into the 7th Day Church of God in 1986. He loved to go boating, camping, four-wheeling, hunting and fishing with his family. David is survived by his children, Lisa, David, John and Robert; grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Roslyn, Shailyn, Amberlyn, Kliessa, Talina, Sianna, David James DJ, and Trenton; brother, Steve Church; sister, Kathy (Alfonso) Medina; six nieces and nephews, Kacie, Catalina, Ryan, Tobol, Michael and Collin; son-in-law, Steve Hanson and his four children; daughter-in-law, Michelle and Justine Crane; and his close friends, Dave (Lucky) Nelson and Rich Rios. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Church; grandson, John David Church II; and his sister-in-law, Patricia Church. Viewing will be held from 11:00am to 3:30pm December 2, 2017 at Longhouse Rose Creek, 43501 US 95, Worley, ID followed by a funeral service.
