David R. Gable, Sr. Obituary David Robert Gable was the fourth of seven children of Ernest and Margaret Gable. He attended grade school and high school in Lebanon, PA. He was the most valuable player on his high school basketball team. Dave joined the Air Force after high school, without his mother knowing. He was stationed at several different military bases, including Guam. While stationed at Fairchild AFB in Spokane, WA he met his wife to be, Myrna Greenland on a blind date. They were married August 10, 1957 at Fairchild AFB. Dave worked at Aluminum Supply Company of Spokane for 25 years, Gifford Hill Co. for several years and Shadle Park Shopping Center after retirement. Dave recently celebrated his 81st birthday and on August 10th Dave and Myrna celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Dave loved playing golf, billiards, camping and going to the casino. Dave is survived by his wife, Myrna; two sons, Dave, Jr. (Darlene) of Spokane, WA, and Mark (Michelle) of Colbert, WA; two daughters, Susan Cress (Scott) of Mead, WA and Jodi Slye (Larry) of Eugene, OR; four grandsons; three granddaughters; a sister, Lynne Consalo of Myerstown, PA; brother, Jay Gable of Lebanon, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; mother, Margaret; brothers, Tommy and Ernest, Jr., and sisters, Teresa and Peggy. He is the richest man in the world being surrounded by his family and now in the presence of the Lord. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 2:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home.
